| Programs Kids in the Kitchen Objective: To teach children the importance of nutrition, kitchen safety and cooking skills while preparing snacks and meals during our programs. Learning Center Objective: To fill learning gaps and provide enrichment activities for children in the first grade through the fifth grade. The Learning Center provides homework assistance, tutoring in basic skills if needed, access to computers, and recreational activities. L.I.F.E. Objective: To build the foundation of Christian faith and provide college prep for youth in grades 6-12. School Break Camps (SBC) Objective: To provide a structured and safe place for children/youth during the times school is not in session and to teach specific life skills. The camps are filled with activities. Summer of H.O.P.E. Objective: To give the children/youth the opportunity for a variety of experiences and to grow in God's World. The program provides an Educational Bridge for children in the first grade through the fifth grade, and a job training program for L.I.F.E. youth that runs from June through July. Some of Our Special Projects Christmas With Dignity Objective: To help parents provide Christmas gifts for their children. Each year we stock a store with new toys and items that are donated at a lower price. The Danny Hill Scholarship Objective: To help students pursue higher education. The student must have been a participant in our programs, have the grades for and the acceptance into college, and lack the financial support. |
